Mental and Emotional wellbeing
Supporting people’s mental and emotional wellbeing
Future in Mind
Future in Mind sets out a clear, national ambition to transform the design and delivery of a local offer of services for children and young people with mental health needs. It covers the following themes:
- Promoting resilience, prevention and early intervention
- Improving access to effective support—a system without tiers.
- Care for the most vulnerable
- Accountability and transparency
- Developing the workforce
Our local transformation plan will support and deliver alongside our local prevention and early intervention model which values the importance of intervening from the ante-natal period and in the early years, supporting families and those who care for children and building resilience through to adulthood.

Kooth is a safe, confidential and non-stigmatized way for young people to receive free counselling, advice and support on-line. The website is staffed by fully trained and qualified counsellors and available from 12pm until 10pm each night, and weekends from 6pm – 10pm, 365 days per year, it provides a much needed confidential and instant access service for young people aged 11-25.
We all have mental health, like we all have physical health. Both change throughout our lives. And, like our bodies, our minds can become unwell.
Mental health problems might actually be more common than you think. One in four of us will be affected by mental illness in any year. The effects are as real as a broken arm, even though there isn’t a sling or plaster cast to show for it.
The Care Act 2014 has made Safeguarding Adults a statutory duty which requires Local Authorities to ensure vulnerable adults are protected from abuse. To learn more about the Care Act and how it can affect those living in North East Lincolnshire, please visit Services4Me – Care Act 2014.
